Well done on a good first session today - you will continue to work with myself and other teachers for short bursts of time for the next week or so.

Things we covered today:

  • How to say numbers containing up to six digits
Practice now - Can you say the following:

For part of this activity we asked - How many....
eg: How many tens in 67? How many hundreds in 4569? etc.
You will continue to look at these questions next Thursday - Or on Tuesday if you want to come to the Maths Drop In.
  • We finally looked at the Face Value, Place Value and Total Value of each digit within a number.

The place value of the 4 is Thousands
The total Value of the 4 is 4,000
